Welcome to Rainbow Parrot Rescue, where we are passionate about providing a safe and loving home for needy parrots. With years of experience, our dedicated team is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming beautiful parrots from all backgrounds. Whether you're looking to adopt a feathered friend or support our cause, we welcome you to join our community and make a difference in the lives of these intelligent and delightful creatures. Thank you for considering Rainbow Parrot Rescue.

We have been running our not-for-profit exotic bird rescue since 2015, and in that time, we have rescued and housed over 1000 birds, providing all our rescues with loving homes forever.

Please get in touch with us for general advice, including how you surrender your bird to us and our adoption policies. If you have lost or spotted an escaped bird, we may be able to help...

To avoid any confusion, we are still Rainbow Bird and Animal Rescue; we just changed the name of our webpage. We only have the means to facilitate Parrots and Parakeets, but our hope is that will change in the future. I have listed a few wildlife rescues below. You will be wasting your time and ours if you contact us regarding wildlife.

Lilac crown Amazon Parrot

This is Lady Lou, she is a 46-year-old lilac Amazon and has been in my care from the time we started our rescue. She did form a friendship with another Amazon, who one day decided to try and form a bond with another and turned on her. Since then she has started to suffer from panic attacks and the reason she has remained with me. She is fam and will never leave. I hope another Amazon that she can form a bond with comes her way. Her ex-mate was a vinaceous Amazon parrot and perhaps the reason he reacted in that way towards her when he took a fancy to a double yellow crown. This would not happen in the wild, they stick to their own, but in captivity they sadly become confused. Another lilac crown would be the better option for her. I've only ever had one of her sort come through my door from hundreds of other Amazons.
